Asylum – Narratives of Mental Health Care: Past, Present & Future aimed to further examine personal experiences with social, cultural and historical observations around mental health and care, through clothing, textiles, painting, photography, poetry and language.

The exhibition included work from the Hidden Histories: Alternative Futures exhibition held at the Harris Museum, Art Gallery & Library in October 2018. This exhibition formed part of the much larger arts and heritage project, Whittingham Lives.
