Asylum Lyrics and Song was an eight-week creative intervention held at Guild Lodge, creating poetry, lyrics and song to commemorate the heritage of Whittingham Asylum and the many people who lived and worked there.

The creative sessions were attended by service users and members of staff who either lived or worked at Guild Lodge, a secure mental health hospital for men and women in the grounds of Guild Park, close to the original Whittingham Asylum site. They wrote poems, songs and music inspired by the heritage of the hospital.

Sessions were led by poet and writer, Jhilmil Breckenridge and musician, Aidan Jolly.
